WESST Receives Funds for Small Business Training
WESST, a New Mexico nonprofit, has received $675,000 in combined federal loans and grants for training business owners and providing small business loans. The funding was provided by the Rural Development Agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Using $500,000 of the funding, WESST plans to make loans of up to $50,000 to small businesses. The remaining $175,000 will go to three other nonprofit organizations: High Road Artisans in Truchas, Mountain Ambulance Service/Art for the Heart in Penasco and Tierra Del Sol in Anthony.
