FBI Opening Forensics Lab at UNM
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will open a new lab on the University of New Mexico campus on December 6. The New Mexico Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory will assist law enforcement agencies with jurisdiction in New Mexico and will provide digital forensics services for cases involving terrorism, child pornography, homicide, violent crimes, theft or destruction of intellectual property, Internet crime and fraud.
The lab is located at 901 University Blvd. SE. on UNM’s south campus. It is the FBI’s 16th one-stop, full-service forensics lab and training center.
